I'm not running on vague promises. Here's what I'll fight for, and why each of these issues is personal to me.
Fully funded public schools.
The problem:
Georgia’s public schools are underfunded, and it shows. Overcrowded classrooms, underpaid teachers, and families paying out of pocket for basics like school lunches and supplies.
What will I do about it:
Fully fund public education so no classroom goes without.
Raise teacher pay so Georgia stops losing good teachers to other states.
Guarantee school lunches and basic supplies for every kid, no exceptions.
Why it’s personal:
As a PTA president and now board member, I’ve run the clothing closets and food pantries that shouldn’t have to exist in the first place. I know exactly what’s missing, because I’ve spent years filling the gap myself.
Healthcare that doesn’t bankrupt you.
The problem:
Georgia is one of the last states in the country that hasn’t expanded Medicaid, leaving hundreds of thousands of Georgians without coverage. Chuck Martin hasn’t sponsored a single healthcare bill in his time in office.
What will I do about it:
Expand Medicaid and bring Georgia’s own federal tax dollars home to cover our neighbors.
Lower healthcare costs for working families.
Protect access to reproductive healthcare.
Why it’s personal:
I’ve been uninsured and underinsured myself. I know what it feels like to put off care you need because you can’t afford it. No one should have to make that choice.
Common-sense gun safety.
The problem:
Chuck Martin voted to allow guns on college campuses and holds an NRA endorsement, while families across Georgia raise kids in a world where school shootings are a fact of life.
What will I do about it:
Support common-sense gun safety measures that keep our kids and communities safe.
Oppose expanding guns into schools and campuses.
Why it’s personal:
Uvalde was a turning point for me, not as a candidate, but as a parent of two middle schoolers. I refuse to accept that this is just how things are.
Protecting our freedom to vote & our freedom to choose.
The problem:
Since Chuck Martin helped write SB 202, voting in Georgia has gotten harder, not easier. Since Roe was overturned, reproductive healthcare access has narrowed under his watch.
What will I do about it:
Fight to restore and expand voting access in Georgia.
Protect reproductive freedom and every person's right to make their own healthcare decisions.
Why it’s personal:
I've spent six years inside the State House watching how these votes get made. I know the difference between a representative who fights for you and one who simply votes with his party.
